Tyne flows in the shadow of Salton Hall, once home to one of Scotland's greatest sons, Andrew Fletcher - The Patriot.  Eaglescairnie was one of the best kept secrets in East Lothian - even Eaglescairnie Burn was hidden below the great house.  Since witnessing the black arts at Samuelston, Tyne is in a frenzied hurry to flow below Begbie Bridge. Bolton Kirk, near the Colstoun Water was dedicated in the 1240s by he. Lennoxlove was built in the 13th. century by the de Giffard family before their move to Yester. Nowadays, the wonderful old house belongs to the ducal family of Hamilton and Brandon
